NT Recycling Kft Participates in Industry Delegation Visit to Leading Battery Manufacturers in Germany

On April 17–18, 2024, representatives from NT Recycling Kft joined a professional delegation organized by the China Lithium Battery Recycling Technology Professional Committee for a visit to Germany. The group visited two major lithium battery production sites: CATL's Thuringia Gigafactory and Gotion High-Tech’s Göttingen facility.

The delegation was welcomed by both companies’ local teams, and productive discussions were held on the development of the lithium battery industry, the growing demand for battery recycling, future market prospects, and advancements in recycling technologies.

At CATL’s Thuringia plant, the group explored how battery manufacturers are integrating sustainable practices into large-scale production, including strategies for end-of-life battery management and closed-loop resource utilization. The visit provided insight into the evolving regulatory landscape in Europe, especially in the context of the EU Battery Regulation.

The visit to Gotion High-Tech’s Göttingen facility focused on technological innovation and the localization of lithium battery production and recycling in the European market. NT Recycling engaged in exchanges on mechanical recycling processes, the handling of various battery chemistries, and the recovery of key materials such as black mass.

This visit served as a valuable opportunity for NT Recycling to engage in dialogue with global industry peers and deepen its understanding of the latest developments in battery recycling and circular economy practices. The company remains committed to working with partners across Europe and Asia to support the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible recycling of lithium batteries.
